AMCheck the new advanced Eddy Current instrument developed for the Additive Manufacturing industry in mind

ETher NDE are proud to start 2021 with a new advanced eddy current portable flaw detector on-board - the AmCheck. Designed and developed to with the Additive Manufacturing sector in mind introducing simplified C-Scanning options, together with a wide variety of options for working with scanners and encoders.
AMCheck has been purposefully designed as a turnkey solution for AM manufacturers needing to add or retro-fit Eddy Current inspection to an Additive Manufacturing CNC or Robotic System. Eddy Current’s unique non-contact and intrinsically hassle free attributes, no couplant, no effluent and no radiation, means it is the best solution for in-process NDT; and enables a part to be inspected during manufacture, one or more layers at a time.
Metal Additive manufacturing is a growing technology and sector for the fabrication of high value parts in low to medium volumes. There has been a significant early adoption in the aerospace, medical and power generation industries due to Additive Manufacturing’s capability for producing complex geometry and multi-material parts. Due to the safety critical nature of these industries and the component parts of the assets in use, these sectors must meet a very high level of reliability that the subsequent parts will need to meet exact specification and strict standards.
The AMCheck can be conveniently panel mounted for inspection of Additive Manufactured (AM) parts during inspection and through the ETher NDE instrument, DLL data may be streamed over USB to the AM host computer for display, analysis and reporting, which can quickly and easily be analysed and shared for peer review and auditing.
