Tube Inspection
Tube Inspection is a key NDT practice in the Power Generation/Heat Exchanger sector and Eddy Current is one of the best methods of measuring wall thickness and circumferential cracks.
Tubes may be inspected using Eddy Current (ECT), non-destructive testing (NDT) from the outer diameter (OD), usually at the time of manufacture and from the inner diameter (ID), usually for in-service inspection, particularly for heat exchanger inspection. Of course tubes and pipes are present across many industry sectors and often require NDT inspection to meet performance and safety standards.
